From the very start, our founders' - Nancy Follini and Joe Gilbert - commitment to delivering the finest shellfish has always started with maintaining the cleanest and freshest environments both at sea and in our boats and facilities. We harvest our shellfish in our own private clean sea beds in the Long Island Sound and our HACCP certified facility is always kept spotless.
Most importantly, our treasured staff, many of whom have been with us for over 20 years, is the best in the business. Their attention to detail on a daily basis makes it possible for Briarpatch to deliver the finest shellfish around.
Our fleet of boats includes two custom built boats; The Audacious oyster boat - equipped with a state-of-the-art on-board refrigeration system - and The American Dream clamming boat.
